Blue Voyage
The Blue Voyage is a type of tourism particular to our country. The amazingly beautiful bays lined up along the Mediterranean and Aegean Coasts, the hidden paradises that can only be reached by the sea, the hospitality of the Anatolian people, the unique antique cities and of course, the pleasure of being on the sea, are the main elements that make the Blue Voyage so special.
The tours that attract ever-greater attention from the 1950’s to the present each year, are made on schooner-yachts since the beginning. The Schooners that can accommodate 14-16 persons at the most, are products of traditional wood and hand works. The yachts initially built for the fish and sponge hunters have gone through a long process until attaining their present modern and comfortable conditions. Although the schooners are known as motor-yachts, they can move by sail as well. A pretty large sun deck occupies 4kc front section. The mid-ship is reserved for the enclosed area containing the bar, kitchen, seating arrangement and the dining tables.
In the stern, an open deck with a canvass shade, where dining tables, seating arrangement and the helm are located, takes place; the cabins are in the lower deck. The participants of the Blue Voyages start their days with the first lights of the morning.
The day that starts out with a swim first and a breakfast later, continues with a hike in the nature and the f archeologfcal excursions included in the daily program, following a few hours of sailing. If you don’t care much about ikat type of excursions, you may stay on the yacht and read a book or take some sun.
